Bruichladdich har aftappet Octomore Edition 09.1 og de næste aftapninger er allerede på vej.
Octomore Edition 09.1 Dialogos kommer af 100% skotsk dyrket Concerto byg, der er høstet i 2011 og destilleret i 2012. Hermed er 09.1 5 år gammel og har ligget udelukkende på ex-American whiskey fade, fordelt på følgende Jim Beam (51%), Jack Daniels (26%), Clermont (15%), Old Grand-Dad (8%).
Kornet er maltet til 156 PPM og endelige aftappet ved fadstyrke på 59,1%
Der kommer 42000 flasker af denne aftapning.
Noter (Bruichladdich):
CHARACTER – Refined, sleek, confident in its youth. Older than its years.
AROMA – Smoke and oak, intense sweetness from the cask, vanilla, cinder toffee. The smoke is thick, velvety and vegetal, peat and earthy.
TASTE – Soft on the palate- no aggression, nutty, fudge, nougat, delicate coconut and rose petal floral.
FINISH – Long peat finish, hints of treacle, warm sand/salt.
COLOUR – Pale gold.

Octomore Edition 09.2 Dialogos kommer til december og vil kun kunne findes i travel retail.
Lige som med 09.1, så er denne destilleret i 2012 og har ligget 4 år på ex-American oak fade inden det er kommet over på fransk eg. Det franske eg er 2nd fill Bordeaux rød vins fade og 09.2 har ligget på disse i 1 år.
Kornet er maltet til 156 PPM og endelige aftappet ved fadstyrke på 58,2%

Noter (Bruichladdich):
CHARACTER – All about the fruit and oak from the margaux, a totally different dimension to the 9.1 based on one year in the red wine casks. As it opens out there is more and more fruit, cherry, plum, strawberry. This is going to be legendary in years to come.
AROMA – Smoked Jam, blackcurrant, cherry, almond. The smoke is earthy, coffee grounds, oak and vanilla all mixed and always there is fruity strawberry/blackcurranty jam.
TASTE – Dark and complex on the palate, dark cherry, earthy smoke, bitter coffee. Ripe plums and pipe tobacco.
FINISH – Spice comes through, earthy, peppery, smoke as ever comes through strong on the palate.
COLOUR – Cinnamon
Octomore Edition 09.3 Dialogos er som 09.2 ikke aftappet endnu, men detaljerne finde allerede.
52 tons byg fra Isaly er blevet brugt til denne aftapning. Kornet kommer fra Irene’s Field fra Octomore Farm i 2011 og har en PPM på 133. Dette har givet 134 fade med new make fordelt på 1st fill ex-American (25%), 3rd fill virgin oak (25%), 2nd fill Rivesaltes (20%), 2nd fill Syrah (20%), 2nd fill bourbon (10%).
Efter 5 år bliver disse fade aftappet ved fadstyrke på 62,9% og giver i alt 18000 flasker.
Noter (Bruichladdich):
CHARACTER – Wild, Ileach, if this whisky could speak it would only speak in Gaelic. Atlantic coast raised. Out on the edge, the sense of place is strong.
AROMA – Malted barley, Horlicks, the smell of the mash going into the mashtun. Heather wildfire, black tea, golden syrup, lemon sponge.
TASTE – Golden syrup in the tin, smoked tea, wort, malted barley, pear, peach melba. Sea spray, heather flowers.
FINISH – Smoke, toasted oak, rye bread, salt, ozone.
COLOUR – Rusty/Sepia.
