A painting by the prisoner of war who created Orkney's world famous "Italian Chapel" appears on the label of a special edition of Highland Park single malt Scotch whisky launched this week.
Highland Park Capella commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Italian Chapel on Lamb Holm, built by Domenico Chiocchetti. Highland Park is also making a donation to assist with the preservation of the chapel which is one of the most popular tourist attractions on Orkney.

The Capella special edition of 5,400 bottles will be sold only at Highland Park distillery."

Jamen så er det jo - ifølge reglerne - en 12-års! Meget smart at kalde det for en Special Edition, så man har lejlighed til at skrive, at den også indeholder 27-års whisky :shock:

I sommers på Highland Park smagte vi Capella'en, der på mig virker meget frisk i smagen, og hvor der i de traditionelle 12 og 18års kan fremkomme nuancer af lyng og honning, er Capella'en græsset i smagen. Et udmærket alternativ til den eksisterende H.P.-familie, men ikke en bedre whisky end den 12års efter min mening. Dog stadig en fin, fin dram.

Vi fik at vide, Capella er en blanding af 12års og 26års whisky og fik i øvrigt hver et eksemplar forærende. Flinke mennesker på Highland Park:)

I sommers på Highland Park smagte vi Capella'en

Ja - Dansk Maltwhisky Akademi havde jo et besøg dér, hvor vi fik en SUPER behandling.

Smagsnote: Det blev også oplyst, at den lå meget tæt op ad Highland Park Millenium - og den har flere jo nok smagt end Capella ´en.
