I 2008 udvalgte Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion 10 fade der blev produceret i 1968. Disse 10 fade er blevet sat sammen og lagt på nye first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks. En af disse fade, en American oak puncheon er nu blevet aftappet hvor whiskien nu har en alder af 56 år.
Der kommer 170 flasker af denne, aftappet ved 47,1%
Der er noter af: On the nose, you'll get aromas of jasmine, sweet raisins, cloudy honey and delicate peat smoke, while on the palate you'll find notes of citrus and orange peel as well as spices and a hint of lapsang souchong tea. The finish is exceptionally subtle, mixing woody spice with honeyed oak and fragrant heathered peat smoke.

Glenfarclas tilbyder nu at man kan deltage i en dedikeret Family Cask smagning med aftapninger fra 1950'erne.
Alt sammen foregår på destilleriet og der sættes 2½ til 3 timer af til denne smagning.
We are thrilled to announce the introduction of a new distillery experience at Glenfarclas. This is the very first time a dedicated 1950s Family Cask experience has been offered here at the distillery. Our 1950s tour is a unique opportunity to gain insight into one of the last family owned and run distilleries in Scotland by taking an in-depth tour and meeting our team here on site whilst visiting never seen before areas of the distillery. We invite you to step back in time where you can marvel at our complete Family Cask Collection before enjoying five specially selected drams from the 1950s in our VIP lounge. This is a one-of-a-kind experience, for true Glenfarclas connoisseurs to enjoy some of the rarest and most special whiskies available anywhere. The tour lasts between 2 ½ - 3 hours and is priced at £511.19 per person.

Årets korteste dag nærmer sig og i den forbindelse kommer Glengoyne med aftapningen Winter Solstice.
Winter Solstice er destilleret den 6. august 2008 og aftappet i 2024 ved 59,9%
Der kommer 285 flasker fra dette 16 år gamle european oak sherry hogshead og kan købes hvis man er en del af Glengoyne Family Members.
Noter (Glengoyne):
Nose: Luxurious vanilla, treacle sponge pudding, chewy toffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon dusting, freshly toasted oak, thyme, dried orange and cherries, stewed peach.
Palate: A medley of bright berries and dried fruits, sweet tropical notes, chopped almonds, homemade Christmas cake well-fed with Oloroso sherry, pleasant tannicity, hint of clove and roast coffee.
Finish: Long, Oloroso sherry, trail mix, mouthwatering oak, dark chocolate ganache.

Vi er nu kommet til den 20. aftapning i Chess Malt Collection, Black Bishop - C8.
Denne gang er et en 17 års aftapning fra Glengoyne.
Black Bishop - C8 har ligget på et refill butt og aftappet ved 56,8%
Noter (Chess Malt):
Appearance: A clear and pale straw yellow color.
Nose: Vibrant barley and delicate floral notes, with a touch of creamy vanilla and oaken spice.
Palate: Rich and smooth, with layers of warming spices, lemon zest and whispers of oak tannins.
Finish: Long and velvety, with lingering notes of toasted nuts, malted barley and soft oak.

Kilchoman har aftappet deres 2024 Club Release, hvor Anthony og Robin har udvalgt et 9 år gammel oloroso sherry butt.
Club Release'24 er som navnet antyder et tilbyd til Kilchoman Club members og er aftappet ved fadstyrke på 57,2%
Fadet kommer fra Bodega José y Miguel Martín i Jerez, cask 209/2015 er et fresh ex-oloroso sherry cask fyldt den 1. April 2015 og har ligget I 9 og 7 måneder på dette fad I Conisby warehouses på Islay.
Anthony Wills siger: "Single sherry butt bottlings of Kilchoman are quite a rarity so I am delighted to offer this nine year old sherry butt to our Club Members. This particular cask stood out for its seamless combination of rich sherry influence, deep malty notes, and maritime peat smoke."
Noter:
Nose: Maritime coastal notes with orange peel, nutmeg and lingering rich peat smoke.
Palate: Notes of a beach barbeque smoke with rich fruits, chocolate orange, mixed spices and liquorice.
Finish: Burnt caramel and malty sweetness combine with lasting rich maritime smoke.

Glengoyne er kommet med en 38 år gammel aftapning fra et first-fill sherry but.
Tre generationer af Russell Familien, ejer og custodians of Glengoyne Distillery, har udvalgt cask no.915 til denne aftapning.
Russell Family Cask 38 yo er aftappet ved 56,8%
Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark and luxurious, rich toffee, blackberry tart with vanilla crème, raspberry dark chocolate, brandy snaps, marzipan, hints of floral honey and heavily roasted coffee bean.
Palate: Fine dark chocolate, fresh strawberries with cream, tiramisu, long aged sherry, subtle warmth of ginger.
Finish: Long with notes of dark chocolate and toasted oak.

Glenlivet har aftappet deres hidtil ældste single malt, 55 år gammel.
Der kommer 100 flasker af denne, aftappet ved 42,2%. Aftapningen blev frigivet i forbindelse med 200 års dagen for Glenlivet distillery.
Noter (Glenlivet):
Nose: A gentle sweetness of poached pears is harmonised with the heady citrus notes of ripe, sun-drenched Seville oranges whilst a deeper note of sticky dates ground the trio. These are matched in the deep warmth of toasted hazelnut and the indulgent richness of dark chocolate, finishing with the spiced warmth of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Palate: Deep and warming flavours of homemade blackcurrant jam, vanilla fudge, and dark chocolate, balanced with zesty orange and crystallised ginger before closing with a touch of warming clove spice.
Finish: Incredibly long, the finish is distinct and complex, evolving through fruit and spices to culminate with a subtle warming dry and spicy finish.

GlenAllachie er kommet med en ny aftapning i serien Master of Wood, en 17 års Mizunara & Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish.
Som navnet angiver, har denne aftapning ligget på Mizunara oak barrels og Oloroso Sherry puncheons og hogsheads
Billy Walker siger om aftapningen: "As a chemist, I find both cask management and blending truly fascinating. This release combines the finest and rarest of casks with carefully considered blending. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with Mizunara, a very uncommon Japanese oak that provides exceptional character but, in turn, throws plenty of challenges our way. Having said that, the result is beyond worth the trials and tribulations.
The flavour delivery from the Mizunara barrels, interwoven with the nutty, spicy character of the Oloroso casks, culminates in a spectacular single malt with delectable notes of apple strudel, runny honey, chocolate-covered hazelnuts and stem ginger. This is indulgence at its finest."
